Cranky Momma Rant-
The toilet training tantrum
So we have used cloth diapers all along and I enjoyed making some for Miss Maddie. I then tried to make some training pants. (see post here)

Tutorial: Matching Leggings for Me and My Girl
I found an awesome tutorial on leggings! These are basically made the same as the pajama pants but more fitted. I really enjoyed this video and found it very easy to follow. They show you two different ways to make them. I ordered these two fabrics online and I have since gone looking for some old cheap t-shirts to make some more for my daughter (as shown in the video). When I cut out my fabric, I had far too much seam allowance. I may have been a little generous or maybe I w

Tutorial: Potty training car seat pee pad
Every car seat needs a piddle pad. Especially during potty training! We had bought one for approximately $14 when we got our car seats. I then made one for our second vehicle using the original as a pattern. Once I started planning for potty training, I quickly realized that we would need a back up for each vehicle. I was too cheap to spend another $24 plus tax so I decided I had all the materials and could just make some more lol. You will need: An old towel or some other ab

A little bedtime story...zzzz
So I have to give a shout out to A Little Pillow Company. They make these awesome little toddler pillows without any harmful chemicals, hypoallergenic and they are the perfect size. I love them! (This is not a sponsered post, I just seriously love these little pillows). I decided to make my own pillow cases for them. Of course I turned to Pinterest and I found an awesome tutorial here. Now these pillows are 13x9 so I cut my fabric 27x20. You will need a band measuring 27x6 if

Bottoms up! Cloth diapers and swim diapers, let the fun begin?
I have more pictures of my baby sleeping than I would dare count. Mostly when her bum is in the air. I can't help myself, I am so drawn to how peaceful she looks and being so sound asleep, not a care in the world. I want to freeze time. We decided when I was pregnant that we were going to use cloth diapers, so we stocked up early. For my Husband's diaper party it was for cloth diapers. They are just too darn cute, not to mention cost effective. I honestly don't know how we wo

Oh the simple things I don't know....
It's bad enough I am struggling with trying to thread the machine. The new machine had a needle threader, oh how I miss that! Now sewing in any kind of straight line is causing some creative language, just saying.... I am spending a lot of time on Google and watching You Tube videos wondering if I will ever reach the point when I can just sit down and sew. I have broken more than a couple of needles now. I am not sure why. I always seem to jump when this happens and I am con

The battle of the sewing machines
So for Christmas I decided I wanted a sewing machine. Nothing fancy as I was just going to learn- hopefully:( My husband was shocked as I don't like sewing and always said I can't sew more than a button. Having a baby changed all that. I wanted to be able to mend things and eventually make some simple items. Being new to motherhood, I didn't even get a chance to open the sewing machine box until February. Once I did, I quickly became frustrated. After only a few minutes of s
